Player Notes

Two-way contracts:

Two-way contracts are hybrid NBA/G-League contracts, which do not count against an NBA team's roster limit. Teams are allowed to have up to three players on two-way contracts at any time.

Currently, the Sixers have Ricky Council IV, Kenny Lofton Jr and Terquavion Smith signed to two-way deals.

Joel Embiid

  • 4-year extension starts with 2023-24 season.
  • 2026-27 is a player option.
  • Became supermax eligible after being selected to the All-NBA Second Team in 2020-21.

De'Anthony Melton

  • 2023-24 has a partial guarantee of $1.5 million, which becomes fully guaranteed if he's not waived before July 3rd, 2023.
  • Melton's 2023-24 salary is now fully guaranteed.

Tyrese Maxey

  • 2023-24 team option has been picked up (Oct 30th, 2022).
  • Qualifying offer for 2024-25 is $6,259,588

Paul Reed

  • 2024-25 and 2025-26 are currently non-guaranteed.
  • They become guaranteed if the Sixers advance past the first round of the playoffs in 2023-24.
  • Reed has the right to veto a trade for one year (starting July 9th, 2023).

Danuel House

  • Signed using the bi-annual exception.
  • 2023-24 is a player option, which has been exercised.

Jaden Springer

  • 2023-24 team option has been picked up (Oct 30th, 2022).
  • The 2024-25 team option has been picked up (Oct 31st, 2023).
